Love, the word that is most celebrated in literature and cinemas has never been communicated to society. John, the beloved apostle who had the privilege of leaning on the bosom of Jesus has fathomed the mystery of divine love. The unimaginable grasp of the mystery of love which led him to define "God is love" (1 Jn 4:8) invites us to believe in the courageous act of love. "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (Jn 13:34). The entire ministry, preaching and accomplishment of Christ can be abbreviated in the simple word called love. Lack of love in families and societies creates fear, confusion, conflicts and hatred. Being reminded the importance of love which heals and perfects relationships, let us offer to our spouses, children, neighbors and strangers generous gift of love.
