After the deception of the first human family, God immediately pronounced judgement over the enemy about the coming of the Messiah. "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel" (Gen 3:15). Centuries later, prophesy's been announced that qualified the coming of the Messiah, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" (Is 7:14).  Archangel Gabriel came as an ambassador to the chosen virgin who was promised in marriage to a man named Joseph, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you shall give Him the name Jesus" (Lk 1:30-31). Shepherds in Bethlehem were privileged with the announcement, of the prophesy being fulfilled, "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord" (Lk 2:11). Being with His chosen band of twelve, Messiah himself inquires about the understanding His role on earth. Public opinion about him as Elijah or Jeremiah or any other prophets was challenged by a straight question to Peter. Revelation that came out of Peter's mouth received great applaud. Let's declare, let's benefit, let's be saved for He is our Savior.

Abba, thank you for the mystery and the personhood of Jesus. Let your Spirit unceasingly praise our salvation. Amen.
