While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the LORD came to him a second time. Jer 33:1

Attention Please. .

Loud music, constant SMS, traffic noise and work pressure leave human mind no time for listening to God's voice. Prophets have the privilege of enjoying God's voice that comes with messages of comfort, hope and guidance, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" (Jer 33:3). Receiving and revealing were the most prestigious duties of God's anointed prophets which at times demanded running and enslavement. "Elijah was afraid when he got her [Jezebel] message, and he ran to the town of Beersheba in Judah" (1 Kings 19:3). Incarnation of God's son extended the realm of listening to all men who would submit and surrender to the Good Shepherd, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (Jn 10:27). Spiritual life demands not only prayers we extend to God but also humble waiting to listen the definite answers from the Father who loves and enjoys speaking to His children. Eli also guided Samuel who was kept under his direction to listen, "Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, 'Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening" (1 Samuel 3:9). Let's practice the most beautiful art of hearing God's voice.

Abba! We, your children, need your Words. Let your Spirit help us listen. Amen.
