The culture of liking anything that is new - new year, new car, new job, new dress, and latest electronic gadgets - surprises me when people do not desire new mind which can be achieved through sincerest prayer and fervent desire. Paul writes to Romans who could conquer the entire world but not their minds, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will" (Rom 12:2). As a new day dawns, which has never been experienced or lived by anyone before, let's enjoy the gift of the new mind that can only be created is us by the one who promises, "And he who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.'”(Rev 21:5). Decide to renew and request in prayer and then your mind and life are new.
