Talents, knowledge, strength, money and resources if we have more than what we need we have the duty of extending ourselves. Temptation to be self-centered and selfish has to be rejected by a true believer as Paul himself suggests: "We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens" (Rom 15:1).  The condition to extend ourselves is based on the fact that we ourselves are extended by God: "He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God" (2 Cor 1:4). Let's practice extending ourselves and enjoy being a blessing to others who are in need.

Abba, thank you for always extending yourself to me. Let your Spirit remind my duty to extend to others. Amen.
