Be it a country or a person, protection is one of the top most priority. David the Psalmist warns about the uselessness of complete dependence on soldiers or guards, "Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." (Ps 127:1). The one who believes and requests the perfect protection, that God only provides His loving children in time of all their needs, receives, for Psalmist declares, "Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." (Psalm 121:4). Visiting sacred places alone is not enough but dwelling in His safe-zone perfects the protection, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” (Ps 91:1-2). Let's follow the example of David the king who received perfect protection all his life.

Abba, thank you for protecting us every day. Let your Spirit bring us under Your protective wings, in Jesus' name, Amen.
