Mountains shaking and hills being removed are not ordinary events, yet they might create confusion and fear; but God gives such great events as a comparison to strengthen our faith and to declare us of His unfailing love and covenant with us. Basing our belief on this promise of the strong foundation can alleviate us of our fears and tensions, and relieve us, leaving us with peace, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (Jn 14:27). The quality of the peace that God promised, through His Son is truly amazing and unfathomable. Hence, we should receive it and enjoy, despite any situation. Confidence that we should keep in Him, for our protection and safety is based on His declaration, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! Again you will take up your tambourines, And go forth to the dances of the merrymakers” (Jer 31:3-4). Let faith, peace, love, joy, and singing fill our lives as we are His own children.

Abba, thank you for extending your promises that give us safety. Let your Spirit sing with joy as we are kept safe, in Jesus’ Most Mighty Name, Amen.
