Remain Blessed
Parents are happy when children request for gifts and needs, and their joy is doubled when they fulfil them. Our Heavenly Father, the loving Dad, keeps providing all that we ask, since we are His children: “Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink—even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk—it's all free!” (Is 55:1). As we call God “Abba,” we have brothers and sisters, toward whom we have responsibilities, and for which we are blessed, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give” (Mt 10:8). When we share and bless others we remain blessed, for we receive nourishment and refreshment from the one who is the true wellspring, “But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life” (Jn 4:14). Let’s take full advantage of the opportunities that are around us, and give more and gain more.
Abba, we love calling You Abba, and enjoy your blessings. Let your Spirit strengthen our faith and lead us beyond, in Jesus’ Most Mighty Name, Amen.
