Adam, when he was not contended with any company, be it animals or nature, was unsatisfied; hence God decided that family was the best arrangement for mankind, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” (Gen 2:18). The wise old woman also had the wisdom, hence she was generous to desire and bless her daughter-in-law, “One day Ruth's mother-in-law Naomi said to her, ‘My daughter, I must find a home for you, where you will be well provided for.’” (Ruth 3:1). If at all there is any structure, that’s been constantly aimed at by the enemy, is the family. Let’s protect, respect and honor family, for we all began our lives from there and got nurtured. The Letter to the Hebrews shares a wisdom that we need to bow down and honor, for it is a command from the Lord, “Marriage should be honored by all” (Heb 13:4). May we pray that all our family members are united and be blessed by the grace of God.

Abba, we praise You for the family that You have given us. Let us appreciate the relationships and roles that You have endowed with us, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
