Hope-filled Words
Daily reflections and declarations of God’s Word bring hope to our lives, as David himself written in his hymns,“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word” (Ps 119:114). The power of the Word of God is demonstrated by Jesus, when he defeated the enemy in the wilderness,“It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Mt 4:4). The authenticity of God’s Word is articulated by Paul in simple and powerful terms, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:16-17). Let’s take shelter in the promises of God’s Word and stay Hope-filled.
Abba, Thank you for reassuring our hope by giving Your Words. Let Your Spirit remind us of them everyday, In Jesus’ Most Mighty Name. Amen.
