Jesus entered Jerusalem. The whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth.” Mat 21:10-11

Marching Towards Victory

Even though His chief apostle Peter discouraged, for it involved pain and suffering, Jesus took the boldest step to achieve salvation for mankind: “The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ‘Hosanna in the highest heaven!’” (Mat 21:9). Any march towards victory involves pain and suffering, hence has to be endured with the Lord’s help, for He assures support, “For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory” (Duet 20:4). Paul, the missionary, who endured his share of pain in the process of achieving great victory for proclaiming Christ in all over the world, encourages to take up the mission, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor 15:57). Let’s believe in the One who achieved, who will hold our hand towards our journey to victory.

Abba, thank you for setting Your Son as the greatest example of marching towards victory. Let Your Spirit strengthen us, guide us, and lead us towards success, in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
