He Does Heal
God who has created human beings does not want them to be sick, for He loves them the most; hence, He said that they need to approach Him when they have difficulties: “I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Ex 15:26). His own Son, when He came on earth, kept the ministry of healing as a priority beyond teaching about God’s Kingdom, “Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all” (Mt 12:15). Jesus entrusted to his disciples, the ministry of proclamation and healing, that Peter exercised, even though he was an ordinary fisherman, as the Book of Acts records: “As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by” (Acts 5:15). Let’s believe that our God wants to heal us all, as we are His most beloved children.
Abba, thank You for being our Healer, who alone can heal all of us perfectly. Let Your Spirit remind us that we should come to you when we need help. In Jesus’ Most Mighty Name, Amen.
