The blessings that come upon the person who acknowledges God’s superiority over everything are recorded as, “The LORD will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them” (Deut 28:12). The condition to enjoy the blessings greatly depend on obeying His rules and playing the roles in a right manner: “If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom” (Deut 28:13). Be it in a family or in a firm, recognize your role and assert yourself if needed or humble yourself, to carefully obey His commands, and receive the desired blessing, as Paul emphatically narrates: “For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything” (Ephes 5:23-24). Let’s know our responsibility according to His commands, and fulfil His superior roles to enjoy His rewards.

Abba, thank You for clarifying to us, again, of our duty. Let Your Spirit give us virtues of strength and humility that are essential to take up His superior roles. In Jesus’ Most Glorious Name, Amen.
