Jesus told his disciples a parable about their need to pray all the time and never give up. Luke 18:1

Never Give Up

The mysteries of heaven are incomprehensible, hence Christ uses parables to explain the most important teachings: “a parable about their need to pray all the time and never give up” (Luke 18:1). The judge, who neglected the complaint of a woman against her adversary, yielded to avenge her due to her continual plea for justice. Her never giving up was set as an attitude of a believer in prayer: “Won't God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them?” (Lk 18:7). But the surprising statement at the end of the parable is most astonishing, for many believers easily give up after praying for a couple of times: “I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Lk 18:8). Let’s learn the mystery of the kingdom, that keeping of the faith till the end and never giving up is expected of the true follower of Christ.
