Confirmation has to be there, as to whom we belong, and only then we can realize our identity and take up the responsibilities. The psalmist is well aware that he belongs to Him, and proudly declares, “Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him” (Ps 4:3). The apostle Paul extends an invitation to believers, who are set apart for a special vocation; “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.’” (2 Tim 2:19). The prophesy of Isaiah clarifies further, how we got redeemed, that we may be owned by Him, “But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, ‘Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.’” (Is 43:1). As followers of Christ, may we believe in the true identity that we belong to Him, and enjoy its privilege. 

Abba, thank You for owning us as Yours. Let Your Spirit give us courage to approach You in prayer, to receive guidances and blessings, in Jesus’ Most Precious Name, Amen.
