When we buy useful and costly equipments, usually they come with the manual, and if we want the desired experience, then the manual needs to be read and followed completely. The same is true with the life of a Christian, whose manual is the Word of God. Fear, hesitation, and doubt appear as we read the manual, whether we could apply it or not, and that is why the first instruction is: “Only be strong and very courageous” (Josh:17). Following or applying only a portion of the manual cannot work; hence the complete manual needs to be observed: “be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you” (Josh 1:7). Passing half way through, the tendency is to do it our own way, but that is prohibited, for the manual needs perfect following: “do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go” (Josh 1:7). If success is the desired destiny, then may we follow the manual faithfully.

Abba, thank You for leading us step by step. Let Your Spirit give us wisdom to abide by Your Manual, the Word of God, perfectly. In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
