Everything around us changes and people often get confused what they should rely upon; and the answer to that question comes from Heaven that we can, and should depend, solely on the unchanging Word of God, as revealed through Prophet Isaiah: “Yes, grass withers and flowers fade, but the word of our God endures forever” (Is 40:8). Jesus, the incarnate Word of God, also told his disciples about the permanence of God’s Word: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Mt 24:35).  How much have we understood the reality of this mystery, and where do we keep God’s Word in our lives? Our only protection and guidance should flow from the faith in the Divine Word; hence let’s declare together with David in great joy and sing aloud: “Your word, O Lord, will last forever; it is eternal in heaven” (Ps 119:89). May our steps be guarded by His Word that lasts forever.

Abba thank you for keeping us under the surveillance of Your powerful Word. Let Your Spirit help us draw nourishment from Your Word everyday, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
