We are surrounded by an unimaginable number of voices and noises, and that’s why we are cautioned by Jesus himself to be careful about what we hear and who we listen to: “He also said to them, ‘Pay attention to what you hear!’” (Mark 4:24). When the first family listened to the enemy, the desire for information flooded them into sin and with the consequences; hence we are alerted by our Master: “Be careful, then, how you listen; because those who have something will be given more, but whoever has nothing will have taken away from them even the little they think they have” (Luke 8:18). As God’s children we must develop ourselves in the art of listening God’s voice, that would enhance our faith and keep us being blessed, as Paul reminds, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom 10:17). 

Abba, thank You for continuously speaking to us by various means. Let Your Spirit help us hear You carefully, and lead us by Your instructions. In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
