Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you. Ecc 11:1

Efforts Bring Rewards

Every single person has to believe that he or she is the handiwork of the Master Craftsman—God, who created them for a special purpose, and built them with many talents. A common error one makes is taking life as a failure when one thing goes wrong. The philosopher encourages us to take new and multiple efforts across many seas: “Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you” (Ecc 11:1). Faith needs courage to shred-off the fear that procrastinates our creative ventures, for it is said, “Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest” (Ecc 11:4). As children who believe in the providence of God, we must step in and take efforts that will bring great rewards: “Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don't know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both” (Ecc 11:6). May God give us confidence to take the necessary steps in building the new future.

Abba thank You so much for encouraging us to take new efforts. Let your Spirit guide us and lead us into the path we should take. In Jesus’ Most Blessed Name, Amen.
