When God chose the people of Israel as His Chosen, He kept it very clear that they should remain Holy, for that is His own nature; and this He clarified through Moses: “Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy” (Lev 19:2). David knew this very clear and hence urges us to approach Him with Holy attire, “Worship the LORD in holy attire; Tremble before Him, all the earth” (Ps 96:9). As we are still the chosen race, we need to use the provision He has arranged for cleansing us of everything, as the Apostle John declares, “and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin” (1 Jn 1:7). May we enjoy this sacred arrangement and maintain our holiness as we approach Him for favours and blessings.

Abba, thank You so much for inviting us to be in the communion of Holiness. Let Your Spirit ever remind us to be Holy by Your Son’s Precious Blood, in the Most Wonderful Name of Jesus, Amen.
