Invitation to Worship
Attendance to the church is gradually decreasing, as the world shouts aloud and invites for weekend celebrations. It is here the duty of a Christian to encourage and invite the fellow brethren to worship and thank God for His providence, is reminded by David the Psalmist. “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the Lord's house.’ . . . to give thanks to the Lord according to his command” (Ps 122:1,4). His mindfulness of others’ not partaking, urges him to praise the Lord on their behalf and receive blessings for them, that is something truly astonishing; hence should be practiced by today’s believers. “For the sake of my relatives and friends I say to Jerusalem, ‘Peace be with you!’ For the sake of the house of the Lord our God I pray for your prosperity” (Ps 122:8-9). May we take up this divine duty of inviting our friends and family members to come and worship You joyfully.
Abba, thank You for reminding us to invite our brethren to worship You. Let Your Spirit rejoice in praising You and thanking You for the blessings You bestow on us, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
