Most of the time the news we hear about the situations of the world and the imagination of our minds make us feel worried and fear about the future. But when we humble ourselves and look up to heaven, God’s message arrives to comfort and strengthen our weakened spirits, as He did to Prophet Daniel: “Once more he took hold of me, and I felt stronger. He said, ‘God loves you, so don’t let anything worry you or frighten you.’” (Dan 10:18-19). Nothing else can comfort us but the confirming message of God’s personal love for each and every one of us who trusts Him that He provides us with safety and peace amidst all difficult situations. We can see this happening in the life of Daniel in his encounter with God’s angel: “When he had said this, I felt even stronger and said, ‘Sir, tell me what you have to say. You have made me feel better.’” (Dan10:19). May we desire to be strengthened and consoled by the message of God’s unfailing love.

Abba, thank You for strengthening us with the message of Your caring love. Let Your Spirit give us confidence to face the challenges of everyday life, in Jesus’s Most Powerful Name, Amen.
