There can be no place and no person who can keep us safe other than God who shelters us under His highest protection. The most valuable things need such high protection, and since we are His beloved children, when we trust and surrender ourselves into His care, He makes sure to protect us in an unimaginable way. Only those who have enjoyed such a great privilege of providential care can declare to the world, as David sang: “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock” (Ps 27:5). May we yearn to submit our lives into His care, and enjoy the blessing of being kept high on a rock, in His own way.

Abba, thank You for having the arrangement of shelter in the shield of Your Sacred Tent. Let Your Spirit help us believe and surrender unto the highest protection, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
