Like a sheep that wanders away and gets lost, we also do not know our way back home. But God, our dear Father is always waiting for our return, as we have a place in His home. It may be our guilt or inability to trust in His forgiveness, that may hinder and delay our travel back home. That is why He appoints prophets with a special mission of reminding and calling His beloved children back to where they belong. “Come back to the Lord your God. He is kind and full of mercy; he is patient and keeps his promise; he is always ready to forgive and not punish” (Joel 2:13).  May we be encouraged by the constant reminder of our Father’s love that wants to restore our wellbeing beyond our expectations and imaginations.

Abba, thank You for always inviting and reminding us to come back to You. Let Your Spirit convince us of the necessity to return and receive the choicest blessing, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
