Nobody Is Infallible
As the descendants of Adam and Eve, we all have inherited their nature of making mistakes; hence nobody can claim that he or she is totally infallible, as the philosopher himself says, “There is no one on earth who does what is right all the time and never makes a mistake” (Ecc 7:20). Only God has the capacity to remain infallible, for that is His true nature. Knowing our nature of fallibility should lead us to admit our mistakes and feel sorry for committing them, before the Loving Father, who would definitely forgive us and cleanses us from our sins, by means of the power of His Son’s precious blood: “But if we live in the light—just as he is in the light—then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin” (1 Jn 1:7). Let’s not give up or loose hope, for the infinite mercy of God readily accepts us when we admit our sinfulness and willingly repent and receive His pardon and peace.
Abba, thank You for making us realize the nature of fallibility within us. Let Your Spirit bring us back to You to receive forgiveness, cleansing and peace, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
