We are living in a world where jewels are valued more than human beings. The greatest gift that God has given to human beings is the capacity to speak and listen. We take for granted this gift, since we all have that gift, and do not sufficiently appreciate the value of it like Solomon does: “Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.” (Prov 20.15). May we praise God for that gift and enjoy sharing our thoughts and listening to the lips that speak knowledge.

Abba, thank You for giving us the gift of knowledgable speech. Let Your Spirit enable us to praise You for giving us the gift. In Jesus’ Mightiest Name, Amen.
