Situations of life make us fear and doubt if we can rise up again. On our own efforts it may look almost impossible, but it is easy for God to extend His hands and raise us up. That is why Apostle James suggests that we need to approach God with the attitude of humility, and ask for His mercy: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you” (Jm 4:10). May God look into our desperate situation and have mercy, that we may rise up again.

Abba, thank You for giving us hope by your unfailing promise. Let Your Spirit enable us to humble ourselves in front of You, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
