Human beings take pride and find happiness in things they possess, but often things go in vain. As believers we need to know what makes God happy and take efforts in delighting Him with honor. The psalmist sings, “His pleasure is not in strong horses, nor his delight in brave soldiers; but he takes pleasure in those who honor him, in those who trust in his constant love” (Ps 147:10-11). May we honor our Lord and trust Him so that He may feel proud of us.

Abba, thank  You for being our God, who protects, forgives and blesses us.

Let Your Spirit inspire us to make You happy, in Jesus’ Most Joyful Name, Amen.
