Our God Answers
In the past it was easier to recognize the poor because they could not hide their poverty in any situation. In today’s world, out of the fear of humiliation, people struggle with, and hide, their poverty by appearing to be “normal.” Who could imagine a king like David struggled and declared himself helpless. Since no one could understand the pain he underwent, he cried out to the One, who alone can hear the cry and see the cause of his misery. When David appealed to God for mercy, the God who answers, saved him from everything that bothered him: “The helpless call to Him, and He answers; He saves them from all their troubles” (Ps 34:6). May we learn from David and cry out to God, who will definitely answer our prayers and save us from our inabilities.
