Praise the Lord
It is our habit to bring the things that our beloved ones like when we visit them. In the same way, we should know that we should bring praises and thanksgiving as we approach God at any time. It is good that we approach God for our various needs, but we should never forget to acknowledge the numerous blessings we have received in the past. Only a grateful person brings praises generously to the altar of the Lord, as David himself sets a good example: “We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks to you! We proclaim how great you are, and tell of the wonderful things you have done” (Ps 75:1). May we never grow tired of praising God, for it is our duty and brings limitless supply of mercy and grace.
Abba, thank You so much for accepting our praises, even though we are unworthy. Let Your Spirit support us in thanking You generously, in Jesus’ Most Merciful Name, Amen.
