In life one thing that determines a success or a failure is the attitude and perspective that we have toward anything. That is why we need to maintain a positive outlook despite any challenging situations. Of course, the fear and doubt will surge as we take up any big task, but we need to be brave to disregard them and move ahead with courage, trusting in the support of God. When all the other spies provided negative and discouraging information regarding the land they had to conquer, Joshua and Caleb had a different and right perspective: “But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. ‘Let’s go at once to take the land,’ he said. ‘We can certainly conquer it!’” (Num 13:30). May we request God that He gives us the right perspective and courage so that we can conquer anything that is set before us.

Abba, thank You so much for asking us to maintain the right perspective. Let Your Spirit give us the gift of fortitude to endure the battles of life, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
