Individuals of good will or churches as organisation put in efforts of many kind to win the souls of new believers. But most often they get tired in their attempt to bring people to God by their worldly methods and strategies alone. That is why we should know this very clear: our reflections or sermons cannot change the minds of the people, but when God decides He can open the mind of any person as it happened to Lydia: “One of those who heard us was Lydia from Thyatira, who was a dealer in purple cloth. She was a woman who worshiped God, and the Lord opened her mind to pay attention to what Paul was saying” (Acts 16:14). May we request the Lord that He open the minds of our readers and listeners, that our efforts of bringing people closer to God may be achieved successfully.

Abba, thank You for opening the minds of people when they listen and read Your words. Let Your Spirit make us trust in the power of You, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
