Living in a world of exchanging cards, where the supremacy of the self is exalted, the servants of God have nothing to produce except to say that they are the servants of God. Paul had a couple of things to feel proud of himself, but felt quite contented to state that he was called to be a messenger sent on behalf of Jesus; hence he said, “Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, . ..” (1 Cor 1:1). May we feel proud that we belong to Jesus, and be satisfied being in relationship with Him.

Abba thank You for choosing us to be Your children through the redemption that Your Son has made. Let Your Spirit make us feel proud of our Christian vocation, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
