Normally we identify ourselves with the family, the country, or the culture that we belong to. But our true identity is declared by God who created us, who saved us by sending His Son for us and shared the Holy Spirit to live in us. That’s why we need to be proud to declare always that we belong to Him as John the beloved apostle writes: "But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world" (1 Jn 4:4). May we be glad about this greatest privilege and praise God for possessing us.
