Every culture has a unique way of greeting when a person meets another member. It is so significant that even foreigners make sure to know and follow that custom to please and satisfy people who belong to that culture. But we need to be far more careful in following the customary gesture when we go in front of the presence of the One who created us. David knew how we should approach Him, hence he pleads: “Come, let us bow down and worship him; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!” (Ps 95:6). May we give the glory and honor that are due to Him because we are His purposeful creations.

Abba, thank You for accepting us to come in Your presence. Let Your Spirit make us bow down and kneel before You, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
