Not everyone is rich enough to leave behind great wealth or pass onto the coming generation a big fortune. But, as the children of God, we have the possibility of storing and reserving the source of God’s greatest mercy for our descendants, by fearing and honoring Him. Mary confirmed this message in her hymn of joy and gratitude as follows: "His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation" (Lk 1:50). May we take this as a wonderful opportunity and take special care in passing this unimaginable blessing to the coming generation.

Abba, thank You so much for showing us your mercy, considering our ancestors' fear and love for you. Let Your Spirit make us fear you so that our descendants receive Your mercy, in Jesus’ Most Glorious Name, Amen
