Kings are known to be arrogant, authoritative and dominant. But here is a king, God sent to rule over us, who sets a perfect example of ruling by the norms of love. His entry into our region does not threaten us with unnecessary rules and regulations. He only desires our acceptance and invitation of love. That is why we need to feel proud about this event, as Prophet Zechariah declared: “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey” (Zech 9:9). May His entry into our lives bring joy and peace and lead us into His Kingdom of Heaven.

Abba, thank You for sending Your Son to rule us. Let Your Spirit make us celebrate His entry into our lives, in Jesus’ Most Glorious Name, Amen.
