As human beings we learn to do many things by the example that we see in the lives of others. But one of the things we need to cultivate is sincerely loving those who are in our lives. It may appear loving our dear ones is easier, but through a sincere commitment alone, we can arrive at a pure form of love, that is without any selfish motives. Peter, the Apostle, urges his readers to have such kind of love in his epistle: "Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart" (1 Pet 1:22). May God fill our hearts with His divine love, that we may share and show it to others everyday.

Abba, thank You so much for showering Your love upon us. Let Your Spirit make us love others sincerely, in Jesus’ Most Loving Name, Amen.
