Food and drink are essential for the nourishment of the body and the enhancement of life. In the same way, for us to enjoy the privilege of the eternal life and communion with the Lord, Jesus, who came from Heaven, offered His body and blood as sacramental food:  "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.  Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them" (Jn 6 54-56). May we believe in His unfailing promise and take part in the sacramental meal, and possess the eternal life and divine fellowship forever.

Abba, thank You so much for offering Your Son’s body and blood as sacramental meal. Let Your Spirit make us believe and take part in the real food and drink, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
