Sometimes we are too tired that we do not even care for ourselves. But God Our dearest father takes efforts to care ourselves, as we are His chosen ones. Prophet Elijah had to flee the land for fear of being punished by Jezebel. But even in the wilderness God provided him with bread and water, and urged him to eat: “Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat.’” (1 Kings 19:5). May we never doubt this supreme love of God that assures our safety and well-being, and be grateful for His unending providence.

Abba, thank You so much for taking good care of us. Let Your Spirit enable us to trust in You and live happily, in Jesus’ Most Loving Name, Amen.
