Expressions of Faith
In spiritual life, the words we utter and the expressions that we make have a real impact. Hence, as believers, we need to make our confessions of faith louder and clearer. Take the life of Abraham, the man of faith, who was instructed to offer his only, beloved son as a sacrifice at Mount Moriah and prepared everything and reached the place and arranged the altar. At that moment, his innocent son, who was ignorant of the plan of sacrifice, inquires the father, and even at that moment, Abraham expressed his conviction of faith and belief in God: "And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together" (Gen 22:7-8). When we truly believe and express our faith, God definitely intervenes and works a miracle on our behalf and protects us and saves us. May we always depend upon this God of Abraham, who gave a ram for sacrifice and saved Issac, and enjoy His powerful providence.
Abba, thank You for being our Provider. Let Your Spirit make us believe in Your unfailing providence, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
