When God proposes something great and wonderful, we get perplexed and confused because it is beyond our grasp of comprehension. We hesitate to believe and doubt, and that is when He gives us a sign and confirms us with faith. When Mary was told about the birth of the Messiah, by the power of the Holy Spirit, she inquired, “How can this be?” and Archangel Gabriel gave her a sign of another impossible thing that has been done by God: “And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren” (Lk 1:36). May we also believe the plans that God has for us, even if we are not able to understand fully as to how they can be done, because when He says, they will be done.

Abba, thank You for inviting us to believe in Your plans. Let Your Spirit strengthen our faith in Your performing word, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
