Generally we all care for our body and take efforts to stay in good health. But the human being is not the body alone; he has a soul and the spirit. Hence we need to pay attention to the goodness of the soul and spirit as well. Any sin that we commit harms the soul as well, and that’s why we need God’s help to heal the soul, as David prayed: "I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee" (Ps 41:4). May we trust in the mercy of God and approach Him humbly with sincere sorrow that He may release us from guilt and other sicknesses.

Abba, thank you for being there to heal our soul. Let Your Spirit bring us to You whenever we need healing, in Jesus’ Most Healing Name, Amen.
