The miracle of peace, performed at the command of Christ, enters into the house of anyone where the apostles enter and greet on behalf of Him. The greatest gift that God can give anyone or any family is His own peace. But the condition that is attached to the receiver is that they should share in peace, which means that they should have a disposition to receive it. Otherwise it returns to the one who greeted on behalf of Christ: “Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house!’ And if anyone is there who shares in peace, your peace will rest on that person; but if not, it will return to you” (Lk 10:5-6). May each and every one of us be prepared sufficiently that peace of Christ may rest and reign our family.

Abba, thank You for sending the gift of peace unto us. Let Your Spirit enable us to receive and welcome peace, in Jesus’ Most Peaceful Name, Amen.
