The one who has created us and the one who redeemed us and the one who lives within us has the right of our first love. It is He who has given us parents, siblings, children and all, to share our lives and love next . At no point in our lives this order of priority can be reversed, for that would separate us from the love of our Creator, Redeemer and the Holy Spirit. We all know the consequence of the first man who forgot his duty of loving God and obeying His Word above all else, lost his place in the garden of God by accepting the forbidden fruit for the love for his spouse. Here, the instruction of Jesus is very clear to anyone who truly wishes to follow Him: "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me." (Mt 10:37). May we keep our love for God above everyone and everything, then He will give us enough love to share with the family and society.

Abba, Thank You for inviting us to love You above all. Let Your Spirit lead us into sharing our love to others after Your due, In Jesus’ Most Loving Name, Amen.
