In the world we live, the culture of impatience is prevalent among many. Most of inventions and technical advancements introduced in recent decades cater to these mentality of achieving anything  quickly and instantly. But in spiritual life, patience is still considered the highest virtue. It needs humility to wait upon God with full of hope. And that is why Peter, the Chief Apostle, out of his long experience of spiritual journey, recommends the importance of waiting for the due time: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Pet 5:6). May God grant us the gift of patience so that we receive assured blessings that are kept for us in His due time.

Abba, thank You for blessing us with the grace of patience. Let Your Spirit help us to wait for your blessings that we are receiving in due time, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
