Those who consider money as a source of their personal security, look for the bank to keep to keep it safe. In houses also people keep a safe, where they preserve their jewels and other valuables for similar reasons. But the greatest safety and assurance should come from being close to God and staying near Him. David found in God his greatest security; hence he declares: "I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved." (Ps 16:8). May we also believe that God is the greatest security and strength, and declare to the world our proud faith in Him.

Abba, thank You for being the source of our security and strength. Let Your Spirit keep this faith strong and stable in us, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
