Spiritual laws often seem to contradict the law of the world. Pressing hard and climbing up are considered to be the means of setting oneself up in positions of prestige and pride. Solomon discredits that approach and condemns, saying it would only lead to destruction, while advises to take up the route of humility to honor：”Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor.” (Prov 18:12)  May we not be deceived by the route of arrogance to exalt ourselves, rather be willing to travel by the way of humility, practiced by our Master Jesus.

Abba, Thank You for showing us the way of humility to reach honor. Let Your Spirit maintain us to stay humble before You. In Jesus’ the Most Precious Name, Amen.
