A good guide or leader gives his crew members clear warnings before they begin their journey. It is the duty of the traveler to take into account the warning and set for a safe journey. Peace in the world is going to be a rare commodity. We will have to purchase it from the Authentic Giver, who alerts us of the coming troubles much way ahead: “I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (Jn 16:33) May we never be surprised by the coming of tough challenges, but take heart and proceed bravely with the champion Jesus, who holds us and leads us to the line of victory.

Abba, thank You for giving us early warning in the spiritual battle. Let Your Spirit encourage us constantly in this journey, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
