Use of words is the capacity that only human beings have and not any other species on earth. Hence, we should not only take pride in this capacity but also be responsible in using it for the betterment of oneself and others. A careful warning and advice is given to us by the One, who Himself is the word incarnate: “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.” (Mt 12:36). May God give us enough wisdom to use the words that please the hearts of men and win favour from God.

Abba, Thank You for cautioning us of the use of words. Let Your Spirit give us wisdom to use words that bring benefits to us, In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
